Same day, no snow. And a nearly finished roof. We started sheathing it today, but still need to put some more blocking in, but it's really close to being fully covered.

We had a little bit of snow at the site today. The weather down here is so variable. One day will be 60, the next 40 and windy and sandy. We'll have 2 inches of snow in the morning, and nothing at the end of the day.

Just thought I'd mix up the house construction pictures with a little something different. This is at Snowbird in Mineral Basin. We came down the face over my shoulder on the left side of the picture.

We got the corner piece in today and started to work on the west side of the roof. This roof is really complicated because it is a trapizoid and it's a butterfly. So every roof truss is a different length and needs to be measured seperately.

From inside the ruins.

Today's our day off so a couple of us went out to check out these Indian ruins. They're called the 16 house ruins. They aren't well known so we can go right up in them. They're pretty amazing. I put another photo on T1photos.

inside the house, with most of the roof joists up. Just need to finish the outriggers.

This is inside Audrey's room looking up at the newly placed joists.

Here is a floor plan of the project. I hope this helps give people a better idea of the overall form and plan of the project, as well as the relationship between the south and north sides of the house.

No new exciting pictures to post today. This is a view on top of the west bedroom wall, looking at the future roof form.

Back in Bluff and my obsession with the rammed earth wall.

The site might look like a jumbled mess, but there are walls going up all over the place.

We had one awesome weekend of skiing.

Josh, I'll take your Electrician, and raise you one Plumber (minus a good plumber's crack).

New Bathroom

We repainted the bathroom last week and got all new hardware/fixtures for the newly refinished tub. We also got a new shower curtain. Exciting stuff... :)

After

So pretty and clean!

Before...

Nasty, huh?

Flex-crete "U" block.
Tristan (T1T2)

The flex-crete wall is just about finished in this picture. It's big, but once the roof is up it'll look completely different.

Yesterday was so windy at the site is was like being in a huge sandblaster. I guess it'll get worse when Spring really hits. So that's why I didn't take my camera out yesterday. So here's one from today. It was another beautiful night at the site.
