Once the outlet for random photos and thoughts, most likely you'll find updates on the little guy & gal for a while. But don't worry, you'll still get photos of things not baby.

Denali update. As you can see, she's still up for doing the "kangaroo", but what you don't see is the slow teetering and swaying. The vet said that she's getting better, but still is on her medication for another week or so. Her personality is coming back, but she's still not 100%. The vet seems to think that her illness is more neurological than inner ear, but we don't really know what that means. We're just happy that she's getting better. Keep sending those good vibes.

Denali Update
A Day in the Life of 2 Ts
Denali still isn't doing that much better, which the vet says isn't that good of a sign. Please keep thinking of her and us, we need all the good vibes we can get.

Denali
For those of you who we haven't talked to this weekend, we thought we would give you an update. Our poor Denali is quite sick. After a 2:00 a.m. visit to the animal E.R., an emergency visit to her eye doctor, lots of internet research, and $600 we found out the Denali has a vestibular infection. We're not yet sure if the infection is just in her inner-ear or has reached her brain. She is very disoriented and is having a hard time walking and keeping balance. Basically it has impacted all of her motor skills, including her ability to blink. Sometime between the 2:00 a.m. ER visit and the time we woke up on Saturday morning, Denali also developed an ulcer on her eye because she doesn't have the ability to blink.
She is on six prescriptions (two oral antibiotics, one eye antibiotic, prednisone, anti-vertigo, eye lubricant) and is starting to do a little better. Best case scenario the infection is only in her inner-ear and she should be better in two weeks. Or, if the infection has reached her brain it could take months of medication to penetrate the infection.
Please keep our poor puppy in your thoughts. She still has her usual wonderful personality and is trying to be very happy!

This little fella, along with a whole bunch of his friends hummed all around the cabin. They are amazing animals. I'm not sure why all birds don't fly this way. If I were a bird and all the eagle spots were taken, I'd be a hummingbird. We liked them so much, if anyone is in need of gift ideas for us for Christmas or anything you can get us a hummingbird. Or if you find those hard to come by, a hummingbird feeder and supply of hummingbirds. Maybe they sell those like ant farms, where you get the farm and the ants come later.

This is the Bed and Breakfast that we stayed at in Driggs, ID. http://www.inntetonia.com/It was a wonderful place. We can't recommend it enough. Everything was so perfect and wonderful. Thank you bridesmaids for making this possible with the wonderful gift you gave us a year ago.

Here's Terri (with Jeffery) and me (with Champ) on our horseback ride around Grand Targhee. Those are the majestic Tetons in the background. Not a bad place to spend part of our first anniversary vacation. Terri did very well for her first time on a horse that wasn't a pony at the circus. The only problem was that her horse was one hungry beast. And being the softy that she is, Jeff took advantage of Terri's kindness to grab a bite to eat whenever he felt like it, refusing to giddy-up-and-go when Terri wanted him to. My stallion, on the other hand, totally lived up to his name and would giddy-up-and-go with the slightest tap of my spurs (a.k.a trail shoes.) I only got to use this unique feature of my horse a few times. We were supposed to stay in line and not pass, so I didn't want to go racing past our guide. That'd be bad horse etiquete. The only thing I couldn't really get Champ to do was stop. It's not easy taking pictures on a moving horse and anytime I tried to stop he would wait about 5 seconds and then get antsy and want to catch up. I have to say that this horse ride was way better than my only other horse riding experience at the Diamond T ranch in Eagan.
